Sewa International’s mission is to serve humanity in distress, aid local communities, run developmental projects for the underserved, and assist people in transformational change through the power of innovation by mobilizing partners, donors, and volunteers.
They accomplish this mission by focusing our efforts towards:
• Disaster recovery
• Family and child welfare and
• Promoting volunteerism
ASPIRE Program: Sewa International provides after-school tutoring and homework help for refugee and immigrant youth in the underserved communities. Their mission is to address education gaps that so many children face due to cultural and language barriers. The focus is on overall development of the kids giving them all the tool required for social and academic success. At present Sewa runs after school programs at three centers Los Arcos, Villa Madrid and San Marcos. The goal is to help students break the cycle of abject poverty! At present, there are more than 100 students that come to Aspire Centers to gain educational and mentorship support.
